PDF Fill & Sign respects your privacy. This policy explains what information may be collected when you use our Android app and website, and how we use that information.

Information you provide

You may choose to open, edit, scan, sign, or save PDF documents in the app. Your documents, signatures, annotations, and local preferences are primarily handled on your device for core PDF editing features.

Information collected automatically

We may collect app usage, device information, diagnostics, crash reports, subscription events, ad interaction data, and performance data to operate the app, improve stability, understand feature usage, and measure growth performance. When you open a PDF or image in PDF Fill & Sign from another app (for example, an email, messaging, or file manager app), we record which app it came from (such as its package name) and the type of file provider for analytics. We do not collect the file's name, location, or content for this purpose.

ChatPDF and cloud features

Some features, including ChatPDF or document conversion features, may require network processing to provide the requested result. When you use those features, the relevant document content or metadata may be transmitted to service providers needed to complete the task.

File Radar (optional)

File Radar is turned off by default. If you choose to turn it on, the app asks for "All files access" permission and periodically checks your device storage for newly added PDF files, so it can notify you and list them in the app.

The check reads file information such as file name, folder path, size, and date added. It runs on your device.
The list of detected files is stored only on your device and is automatically cleared after 7 days. We do not upload your files, file names, or folder paths.
For analytics, we only record aggregated information, such as how many new files were found, the file type (for example, PDF), and a general folder category (for example, Downloads, Documents, or messaging apps).
You can turn off File Radar at any time in the app's Settings. You can also revoke "All files access" or notification permission in your device settings.

Third-party services

We may use third-party services including Google Play, Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics, Google AdMob, Google Ads measurement, and related Google services. These services may process data according to their own privacy policies.

How we use information

Provide PDF editing, signing, scanning, and ChatPDF features.
Maintain subscriptions and premium access.
Improve app performance, stability, and user experience.
Measure advertising, analytics, and product performance.
Respond to support requests and comply with legal requirements.
Notify you about new PDF files found on your device, if you turn on File Radar.

Data sharing

We do not sell your personal documents. We may share information with service providers that help us operate the app, process subscriptions, provide analytics, show ads, process cloud features, or comply with law.

Data retention

Local files remain on your device unless you choose to delete them. Analytics, crash, advertising, and subscription data may be retained by us or service providers as needed for the purposes described above.

Your choices

You can uninstall the app to remove local app data from your device. You can turn off File Radar and the notification-bar shortcuts in the app's Settings at any time, and you can manage notification and storage permissions in your device settings. You can also contact us with privacy questions or requests.

Children

PDF Fill & Sign is not directed to children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us.
